Known for her dedication to fitness, Malaika Arora adheres to her strict workout routine. From pilates to yoga, the diva has always focused on strengthening her mental as well as physical well-being. The fitness enthusiast even shares glimpses from her healthy lifestyle, performing complex yoga asanas and serving as an inspiration to many others in the process. Back on Instagram, Malaika has another fitness lesson for all as she asks to “go with the flow.”

In her Monday motivation series, Malaika shared a video of herself doing the Vinyasa asana with quite flexibility and agility. The asana, which requires one’s synchronised movement with proper breathing, possesses a lot of benefits if done regularly.

    Benefits Of Vinyasa Yoga

The fast-paced style of yoga differs from other traditional styles, requiring the body to move in a continuous flow. It builds heat in the body, develops strength, and also supports the cardiovascular system.

    1. Core StrengthThe vinyasa yoga involves a lot of poses that will help to engage and strengthen the core muscles. Through the sequence of side bends, back bends, and twists, the body will build core strength and improve stability and balance.
    2. Heart healthConsidered a lightweight aerobic activity, upper back bending in yoga can help increase blood circulation in the heart and surrounding muscles and tissues.
    3. FlexibilityThe vinyasa yoga allows the body to stretch at lengths, strengthening the muscles in the process and bringing more flexibility to the body.
    4. Lung capacityLiterally translated to “breath-linking movement,” yoga promotes deep breathing, which helps the lungs to expand to their fullest and strengthen the diaphragm. A routine practice will improve lung capacity and prevent lung problems.
    5. Back painWhile yoga is known for proven benefits for back pain, vinyasa asana is considered among the most effective therapies to minimise moderate to severe pain. The Cat-Cow pose in this yoga will prompt individuals to stretch their backs in the outward and inward directions.

While Vinyasa yoga is one of Malaika’s go-to options in her fitness regime, the actress is an expert in many other asanas. In another video, she shared a short drill of a few poses like mountain walk, mountain to plank, dolphin pose, and one-leg dolphin. “Practice makes perfect,” she shared her Monday motivation mantra.
